What plot will Demon Slayer Season 2 follow?

The first season revolves around the protagonist Tanjiro Kamado whose entire family except his sister gets killed by a demon. His sister is transformed into a demon but retains humane qualities and emotions. Tanjiro then sets out on a long journey to avenge his family’s death. He encounters a society that calls itself Demon Slayer Corps.

In the Demon Slayer movie, Tanjiro and his friends embark on a new mission. They investigate a series of mysterious disappearances that occurred on the Mugen train. The mission is to find a demon that has killed more than 40 demon slayers.

A second season, subtitled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Entertainment District Arc. The trailer for the second season is out. It indicates that the upcoming season will cover the famous Entertainment District Arc from the manga. The Entertainment District Arc is the ninth volume in Demon Slayer manga. In this arc, the main characters invade Yoshiwara’s red-light district in Japan to hunt demons. Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, team up with a new demon hunter called Tengen Uzui. Recently, the Head of Programming at Fuji TV, Yuriko Nakamura, spoke to the Japanese press to announce that in the Entertainment District arc, “the content will be broadcast without any changes.”

Demon Slayer Season 2 Cast

As reported by Crunchyroll, all the core voice artists are going to return for Demon Slayer Season 2. It means Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro), Akari Kito (Nezuko), Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu), and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke) will be back for the upcoming episodes.

The main villain, Muzan Kibutsuji (voiced by Toshihiko Seki) will also make an appearance in the coming season. We will also see a new villain, Tengen Uzui voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi.

There is no stopping to the Demon Slayer franchise. A mobile game Demon Slayer: Blood-Stench Blade Royale will release in 2021 by publisher Aniplex with development by Aniplex subsidiary Quatro A. A PS4 game published by Aniplex and developed by CyberConnect2 titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Chifūtan has been announced to be released in 2021.

The first season aired in Japan from April 6 to September 28, 2019, on Tokyo MX, GTV, GYT, BS11, and other channels. The English dubbed version premiered in 2019 due to its wide appeal.
