What Oresuki is all about?
Oresuki (Ore wo Suki Nano wa Omae Dake ka yo) or Are You Really the Only One Who Likes Me? is a Japanese anime series. It is based on a Japanese light novel of the same name written by Rakuda and illustrated by Buriki.
The first volume of the Japanese light novel was published on February 10, 2016. To date, its sixteen volumes have been released. Published in Japan ASCII Media Works, all of them have become the best selling light novels in Japan.

This anime based on the light novel is directed by Noriaki Akitaya and is written by Rakuda. It focuses on a high school boy named Amatsuyu “Joro” Kisaragi who dreams of having a girlfriend. Unluckily for him, the two girls that he really likes have a crush on his best friend. He secretly creates a plan wherein he tries to make one of the two girls fall in love with his best friend and then decides to keep the other one for himself as a reward. But that’s when things get complicated and the game of love, betrayal and friendship begins.
Season 1 of Oresuki comprises 12 episodes premiered on October 2, 2019, and ended on December 25, 2019. Though Oresuki season 1 was a huge hit, its climax received mixed reviews and criticism from fans. While the fans are waiting for the second season, it appears that episode 12 (the last episode of season 1) was the ending of the series.
Is ‘Oresuki’ renewed for Season 2?
As the things stand today, there is no update on renewal. The first season was produced by Connect Studios. The studio hasn’t renewed or cancelled the show. We can still hope for a renewal.
