The second episode of Demon Slayer: Season 2 aired in Japan on Sunday, Oct 17, 2021. It is now also available on anime streaming sites Crunchyroll and Funimation. However, the fans are eager to know if the second episode is available on Netflix. Is Demon Slayer Season 2 available on Netflix?
Demon Slayer Season 2 premiered in Japan on Oct 10, 2021. The first seven episodes of the second season is a readaptation of the Mugen Train movie. The first episode has new events as it focused on Rengoku Kyojuro prior to the events in the Demon Slayer movie. The second episode of the second season is basically an elongated version of the opening 25 minutes of the movie.
Is Demon Slayer Season 2 Episode 2 Available on Netflix?
Well, it depends on the region in which you reside. Demon Slayer Season 2 is releasing new episodes weekly in selected territories like India and other Asian countries. In selected territories, new episodes are available on Netflix right after their initial broadcast in Japan.
When will Demon Slayer Season 2 release on Netflix US?
Demon Slayer anime is based on the manga series of the same name by Koyoharu Gotouge. It follows Tanjiro Kamado, a teenage boy who aims to become a demon slayer after his family is murdered and his sister Nezuko is turned into a demon. Currently, the first season is available on Netflix US in English and Japanese.
Coming to the second season release schedule, the first seven episodes of the new season will readapt the Mugen Train Arc. A total of 7 episodes will run from Oct 10 to Nov 21, 2021. The studio has confirmed that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2 “Entertainment District Arc” will premiere in Japan on Dec 5, 2021.
Coming to Netflix, the streaming service acquired Demon Slayer Season 1 streaming rights only after nine months of its release. The first season finale aired in Japan on September 28th, 2019. It was added to the Netflix US library on January 22, 2021.
Netflix hasn’t confirmed if it’s acquired the streaming rights for Demon Slayer Season 2. However, the streaming giant has no reason to not acquire as Demon Slayer is the most-watched anime on the platform.
As per Demon Slayer Season 2 release schedule, the season finale will air in Feb 2022. So, we can expect the second season to premiere on Netflix in Summer 2022. This is our wild guess. The studio hasn’t confirmed a release date for Netflix US yet.
