It is difficult to predict the release date for the second season of Hell’s Paradise as studio MAPPA is juggling between several projects including, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, Chainsaw Man Season 2, Chainsaw Man Reze arc movie, Bōkyaku Battery and Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill Season 2.

So, it’s better to wait for the official announcement before making any speculation.

Hell’s Paradise Season 2 Plot

Hell’s Paradise’s story is about a group of death-row inmates traveling to a mythical island to retrieve the elixir of life with their would-be executioners, delivered on its promise thanks to striking visuals and compelling characters.

The anime’s first season was adapted until the Lord Tensen arc (up to manga chapter 59). Thus, the next arc, called Hōrai Arc (chapters 60–110), will probably be adapted for the second season. As a result, in season two of Hell’s Paradise, the executioners and prisoners of the Shogunate will encounter even more unspeakable horrors in their relentless search for the Elixir of Life.

Here’s the summary of the Hōrai Arc:

Knowing the dangers that lies ahead, the surviving criminals and executioners join forces to defeat Lord Tensen, acquire the Elixir of Life, and escape the island. The situation worsens with the arrival of the second landing party and one of the members of Lord Tensen, Zhu Jin, using the Banko to take over Hōrai.

It looks like the upcoming season will center around the intense showdown between Gabimaru and his team against Lord Tense. After this, there’s just one more mini-story left, probably wrapping up the series.

Is there any trailer?

Yes, there is. The Hell’s Paradise season 2 teaser opens with a recap of some of the most important moments from the first season before showcasing Yamada Asaemon Shugen. Unfortunately, aside from teasing its eventual release, the teaser offers very little more information about the upcoming second season.
