Well, there is no information about what this special program would be. However, it is speculated that there may be a reveal about the series. The tweet confirms the show’s presence at the AnimeJapan 2022 convention on the same day.

As soon as the tweet went live, fans started speculating that the special program on March 27 is for the movie announcement. The fans familiar with manga knows that there is too much source material left to adapt in the remaining episodes.

“Yea that’s definitely a movie announcement for Attack on Titan cuz I don’t think that’s enough to finish the manga,” one fan wrote on Twitter.  Another user tweeted, it could be “potentially announcing a movie for the ending or/and an anime original ending maybe, that’s my naive hope.”

The fans are disappointed as well as excited with this delay. Whatever happens, we are definitely in for an epic conclusion to Eren’s tale that started way back in 2013.
