Attack on Titan Season 4 Finale Release Date Delayed By A Week

The final episode of Attack on Titan season 4 has been delayed by a week and fans think it’s because a movie is coming.

The final episode of Attack on Titan season 4 has been delayed by a week. Along with it, there is a small change in episode 84 air time. The second part of the fourth and final season of the popular anime premiered on Sunday, Jan 9, 2022 (United States). Attack on Titan is a dark fantasy anime that debuted in 2013. It is an adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s manga of the same name.

The last leg of the anime has enthralled fans with endless revelations, shocks, and twists. The second part of the final season has 12 episodes. As per the Twitter account Attack On Fans, the official Attack on Titan Japanese website has reported that episode 87 (season 4 finale) has been delayed a week. It will air on April 3 instead of March 27 due to a special program.

The tweet also confirmed some scheduling changes. It stated that episode 84, which is scheduled to air on March 6, would air at 00:15, JST, 10 minutes later than usual.

Well, there is no information about what this special program would be. However, it is speculated that there may be a reveal about the series. The tweet confirms the show’s presence at the AnimeJapan 2022 convention on the same day.

As soon as the tweet went live, fans started speculating that the special program on March 27 is for the movie announcement. The fans familiar with manga knows that there is too much source material left to adapt in the remaining episodes.

“Yea that’s definitely a movie announcement for Attack on Titan cuz I don’t think that’s enough to finish the manga,” one fan wrote on Twitter.  Another user tweeted, it could be “potentially announcing a movie for the ending or/and an anime original ending maybe, that’s my naive hope.”

The fans are disappointed as well as excited with this delay. Whatever happens, we are definitely in for an epic conclusion to Eren’s tale that started way back in 2013.
