The third season of Demon Slayer (Swordsmith Village Arc) is almost upon us. The new season premieres on April 9, 2023, across the globe with an hour-long special. The excitement is high as Tanjiro will be back on our screens after a gap of more than a year. How many episodes are there in Demon Slayer Season 3?
The previous season covering Entertainment District Arc covered chapters 70-98 in the manga source material and had 11 episodes.
The upcoming season will adapt the Swordsmith Village Arc from the manga series. Those who have read manga know that the arc covers 28 chapters (99-127). So, we can expect another 11 or 12-episode season and not a huge 26-episode run like the first season.

There is no update on the release schedule but we expect the new episodes to drop weekly on Sundays just like the previous season.

What the new season is about?
The third season of Demon Slayer adapts the Swordsmith Village Arc of the manga series. In the upcoming season, Tanjiro will arrive at Swordsmith Village to get his sword fixed. He finds that his usual contact is missing. As Tanjiro begins the investigation, he gets introduced to two Hashira, Muichiro Tokito, and Mitsuri Kanroji. The first is Mitsuki Kanroji, the love Hashira. She is joined by Genya Shinazugawa, and Tanjiro is sent on a hunt to find a weapon in the village.

Demon Slayer season 3 will be available to watch exclusively on Crunchyroll. The first two seasons except Entertainment District Arc are available to stream on Netflix, while only the first season is on Hulu for subscribers.
