Attack releasing in theatres on April 1
Helmed by debutant Lakshya Raj Anand, Attack stars John Abraham in the role of a super-soldier who is on a mission to fight terrorism. The movie also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh in pivotal roles. Sleek and hardcore action sequences are the main highlights of this movie.
Kaun Pravin Tambe? releasing on Disney+ Hotstar on April 1
Directed by Jayprad Desai, Kaun Pravin Tambe? is a biographical sports drama movie based on the life of Indian cricketer Pravin Tambe. The movie showcases Shreyas Talpade as a promising cricketer who is just concerned about the game, with a job and marriage coming after. Amidst a lot of struggles, Table finally makes his debut in IPL at the age of 41.
Dasvi releasing on Netflix, JioCinema on April 7
Abhishek Bachchan is set for another direct to digital release after Ludo, The Big Bull, and Bob Biswas. Directed by debutant Tushar Jalota, the social comedy also stars Nimrat Kaur and Yami Gautam.
The story revolves around an uneducated and rustic politician, Ganga Ram Chaudhary (Abhishek Bachchan) who is arrested for a teacher recruitment scam. During his time in prison, he aims to clear his Class 10th.
KGF Chapter 2 releasing in theatres on April 14
The biggest release of the month is Yash’s KGF Chapter 2. A sequel to the 2018 blockbuster film. KGF Chapter 2 is primitively a Kannada film. But the anticipation for its Hindi dubbed version is sky-high. In fact, KGF 2 (Hindi) is set to take a humongous box office opening beating other Bollywood releases. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie also stars Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj.
Jersey releasing in theatres on April 22
Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur’s much-awaited movie Jersey will finally see the light of day on April 22, 2022. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, it is a remake of the Telugu movie with the same title that premiered in 2019. The movie follows the life of Arjun, a 36-year-old who quit his cricket career when he was young but decides to go back on the field and play for the National team, all for his son’s desire to get a jersey.
Heropanti 2 in theatres on April 29
Heropanti 2 is a sequel to the 2014 movie Heropanti that launched Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. The sequel also stars Tiger in the lead role with Tara Sutaria playing a female lead and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as an antagonist. Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the romantic-action movie will hit the big screens on April 28, 2022.
Runway 34 in theatres on April 29
The thriller drama features Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, Aakanksha Singh, and Angira Dhar in pivotal roles. The movie is said to be based on true events.
It tells the story of Captain Vikrant Khanna, played by Ajay Devgn, a flying prodigy whose flight takes a stirring and mysterious trajectory after take-off from an international destination. Consequently, it follows the firm Narayan Vedant, played by Amitabh Bachchan, in his pursuit to uncover the truth.
