What will be the plot of The Family Man Season 3?
The crime thriller series tells the story of a middle-class man who works as an intelligence officer for a special unit T.A.S.C of the National Investigation Agency. While he tries to protect the nation from terrorists, he also has to protect his family from the impact of his secretive, high-pressure, and low-paying job.
In the first season, we saw how Manoj and his team tried their best to save the nation from a deadly terrorist Mission Zulfiqar. T.A.S.C. realizes that Moosa’s plan is to recreate a gas Tragedy in New Delhi. Srikant and JK, along with their subordinates Zoya, Milind, and Jayesh, and Force One officer Imran Pasha work on stopping Mission Zulfiqar from succeeding.
In the second season, Manoj Bajpayee aka Srikant faces a new enemy in the form of Samantha Akkineni (Rajji). The focus shifted to Chennai where a new terror threat is rising. The second season’s storyline focuses on a Tamil Tigers-esque military resistance from Sri Lanka and their plans for freedom.
Coming to the third season, we are going to see Srikant on a new mission. The final scene of the second season teases the events of the upcoming season. The season will be set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic and hinted that the action might shift to the Northeastern states. The final scene of The Family Man Season 2 showed a mysterious man sitting in Kolkata, getting the go-ahead from his Chinese handler for Project Guan Yu.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Raj Nidimoru said that the scene was shot separately, as a teaser. He added that while the third season of The Family Man will definitely touch upon the Covid-19 pandemic, they are yet to decide the extent to which it will be a part of the plot.
When will The Family Man Season 3 be on Prime Video?
We feel sad to inform you that the series has not officially got any premiere date as of yet. In fact, even two and half years after the second season, the filming for the third season hasn’t yet started.
While promoting his movie, Joram, Bajpayee shared some details about when the filming will begin and what to expect from the upcoming season.
In an interview with The Lallantop, Manoj revealed that they will start shooting in February end and this time they will mostly shoot in the North-East. According to him, they will pick up from where they left off last season. He also went on to assure fans that the third season will be bigger than the previous seasons – Bada sundar aur bhayanak hoga.
Manoj added that there will be new circumstances and new situations in the third season. According to him, this time Srikant Tiwari is in that phase of his life where his kids have grown up and even Srikant has grown a bit old.
Once the filming starts, it would take around 10 to 12 months for the second season to arrive on our screens. So, don’t expect The Family Man Season 3 to premiere before the end of 2024 or early 2025. We will inform you as soon as the official release date is announced.
