The Boys Season 4 Release Date
Season 4 filming wrapped in April 2023, so we were expecting a late 2023 release date at the most. However, that does not appear to be very likely at this time. Unfortunately, no official release date for The Boys season 4 has been set.

But how can the makers completely disappoint the audience, right? Hence, The Boys has given been given a 2024 release window. Ultimately, the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes—which are thankfully now over—halted the progress.
Eric Kripke provided an update, writing, “Editing: done. VFX: halfway done. Music & sound: quarter done. Now that the SAG strike is over (yay), the actors can record additional dialogue. No airdate yet, but will be worth the wait. It could be our best season. For sure our craziest.”
Also, now that the final episode of the spin-off Gen V has aired, we can get an official airdate anytime soon. However, we’re expecting an early-to-mid 2024 release. So, keep an eye out!
The Boys Season 4 Plot
Following the thrilling finale of Season 3, The Boys Season 4 explores the fallout after Butcher and his team defeat Homelander’s assault. But their victory comes at a heavy price, making their problems even more complicated.
The plot unveils a fresh danger when Homelander’s reluctant ally Victoria Neuman is selected as Robert Singer’s running mate for the presidency. Moreover, the Boys Season 4 delves into the aftermath of Gen V, a TV series that spans the gap between the third and fourth seasons and takes place roughly a month after the events of Gen V.
The official synopsis read:
The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.
