Yellowstone Universe will continue to expand as Paramount has announced two more projects: The conclusion of Yellowstone will lead seamlessly into the upcoming sequel featuring Matthew McConaughey, tentatively titled 2024. Yellowstone fans will be treated with another prequel titled 1944—the show that will tell the tale of another chapter of the Dutton family’s past.
These two spinoffs are in addition to 1883 and 1923. The first Yellowstone spinoff, 1883, premiered in December 2021 and followed an earlier generation of the Dutton family. In 1883, the Dutton family embarked on their journey from Texas to Montana.
Another prequel titled 1923 premiered on December 18, 2022. Starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, it focuses on the clan’s efforts to safeguard their ranch during the early days of the Great Depression.

Well, Neither Sheridan nor Paramount has released details about the Yellowstone spin-off 1944, it is anticipated that the show will revolve around World War II.
In February 2023, the Montana newspaper Ravelli Republic reported that Tom Prince, executive vice president of production at 101 Studios, revealed information about the series at a town hall event in Hamilton, Montana. He said that 1944 would be a follow-up to the series 1923.
Prince said, “My guess is that it’ll be shooting largely in the Bitterroot Valley because it has to take place at what is Chief Joseph Ranch.” Chief Joseph Ranch is in Darby, Montana, and serves as the Dutton family ranch in the main Yellowstone series.
Drawing from Prince’s statement that 1944 will succeed 1923 and be shot on the Bitterroot Valley ranch, one can infer that it will explore another generation of the Dutton family’s history. The narrative may delve into the challenges America faced toward the conclusion of World War II.
