The Kashmir Files and RRR

IMDB has released a list of the most popular Indian movies of 2022. The list includes names such as SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Kamal Haasan’s Vikram, and Yash’s KGF Chapter 2.

Internet Movie Database (IMDb) has released the list of the top 10 Indian movies and web series of 2022 so far. In this post, we will specifically talk about the top 10 movies of the year. It is a big surprise that the list is dominated by South movies. Only one Bollywood movie, The Kashmir Files, makes a cut in the list. The Vivek Agnihotri directional was widely appreciated in the country for its harsh and real depiction of the difficulties experienced by Kashmiri Pandits.

Coming to the list, SS Rajamouli’s epic drama RRR is ranked number one and Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files took the second spot. The next is a sequel to the 2018 superhit Kannada blockbuster KGF. Despite being a mass entertainer, KGF Chapter 2 has an impeccable IMDB rating of 8.4. The list is based on popularity and not on IMDb rating. IMDb creates the list of the most popular movies and web series using the data of real page views with more than 200 million per month visitors to IMDb.
