Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie ‘Mission Cinderella’ has reportedly been re-titled ‘Kathputli’.
Akshay Kumar is just not taking any breaks. It seems that the actor is on a mission to deliver at least 4 to 5 movies every year. After the debacle of Bachchan Pandey and Samrat Prithviraj, he will be seen next in Aanand L Rakshabandhan. After that, his next is a Hindi remake of Vishnu Vishal’s Tamil blockbuster Ratsasan. Earlier titled Mission Cinderella, has reportedly been re-titled ‘Kathputli’.
The film, which also stars Rakul Preet Singh in the lead role, is anticipated to get a direct digital release. However, the makers haven’t confirmed it yet and several rumors are also doing rounds that it will release in cinemas first.
‘Kathputli’ is a remake of the famous Tamil psychological crime-thriller ‘Ratsasan’ (2018). It is directed by Ranjit M Tewari who earlier helmed Bell Bottom. The movie also stars Chandrachur Singh, Sargun Mehta and Suhani Sethi. As per the latest reports, British actor Joshua LeClair will be portraying the main antagonist in the movie.
Ratsasan is regarded as one of the best thriller movies in Indian cinema. Released in 2018, it was helmed by Ram Kumar and had Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in lead roles. Akshay will play the character of the cop originally played by Vishnu Vishal.
