It is going to be another entertainment-packed week at Netflix as some biggies are set to make their debut. From the action-horror series Resident Evil to romantic-drama Persuasion, there is plenty of good content coming up this week. First, let’s have a look at a few big releases.

Resident Evil

Release Date: Thursday, July 14, 2022

Resident Evil is an action-horror series developed by Andrew Dabb. It is based on the video game series of the same name by Capcom. It is the eighth live-action adaptation of the game series after the film series of the same name.

The official synopsis reads:

“Years after a viral outbreak caused a global apocalypse, Jade Wesker vows to bring down those responsible while fighting to survive against the Infected.”

Split across two timelines, 2022 and 2036, the horror series starring Lance Reddick, Ella Balinska, Tetiana Gaidar, and Siena Agudong in lead roles is set almost three decades after the discovery of the T-virus.

Uncharted

Release Date: Friday, July 15, 2022

Based on the video game franchise of the same name by Naughty Dog, Uncharted is an action-adventure movie starring Tom Holland in the lead role. It sees Nathan Drake (Holland) and his partner Sully (played by Mark Wahlberg) go on rambling adventures to locate the famed treasure of the Magellan expedition.

Persuasion

Release Date: Friday, July 15, 2022

The romantic period drama starring Dakota Johnson of Fifty Shades of Grey fame is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Jane Austen. Read the official synopsis of the movie here:
