It’s confirmed! Akshay Kumar, Rakul Preet Singh to star in the Hindi remake of Tamil thriller Ratsasan titled Mission Cinderella.

Yesterday, we reported that Akshay Kumar may star in the Hindi remake of the Tamil thriller Ratsasan. Well, the news has indeed turned out true. It’s now confirmed that Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet Singh will star in the Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster psycho-thriller film. The Hindi remake is titled Mission Cinderella. The original helmed by Ram Kumar had Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in lead roles.
Akshay will play the character of the cop originally played by Vishnu Vishal. Actress Rakul Preet Singh will play Amala Paul’s character. The Hindi remake will be helmed by Ranjit M Tewari, who has directed Akshay’s upcoming film Bell Bottom. Vashu Bhagnani has acquired the Hindi remake rights and he will produce the film.
Film critic and trade analyst Ramesh Bala confirmed the news on his Twitter account. He tweeted:

Ratsasan revolves around an aspiring filmmaker who becomes a police officer after his father’s death. He tries to track down a serial killer who murders schoolgirls. It is one of the best crime thrillers produced in Indian cinema.
The film was remade in Telugu as Rakshasudu, starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran. The Hindi dubbed version of Ratsasan titled Main Hoon Dandadhikari is available on YouTube.
