The highly awaited My Hero Academia Season 7 debuts its initial official trailer, announces its release date and discloses the number of recap episodes it will commence with.

Big news for MHA fans. The popular anime series is all set to return for its highly anticipated Season 7. The release date and the other key details of the forthcoming show are revealed in the season’s first main trailer. My Hero Academia is one of the most talked about and popular anime. It is known for its energetic shades as well as its intense and lengthy battles. There is a lot of anticipation around the next season.

My Hero Academia Season 7 release date confirmed by Studio Bones

During Jump Festa 2024, Studio Bones announced that My Hero Academia Season 7 would kick off with its premiere episode on May 4, 2023. The reveal wasn’t the only surprise for MHA fans; it came hand in hand with a spectacular and flashy trailer.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for My Hero Academia posted the upcoming season’s trailer on December 16, 2023

The X post was captioned, “The Heroaca season 7 trailer is here!!” The X post also confirmed that Season 7 will begin with four recap episodes, collectively titled “My Hero Academia Memories.”

In the trailer, the key players in the clash between heroes and villains take center stage. Deku is backed by his Class 1-A friends on one side, while Shigaraki and the League of Villains stand on the opposing side. All Might, the World’s greatest hero, is seen delivering an inspiring speech to his students, mustering everyone for the coming battle ahead.

The trailer’s standout moment was the introduction of Star and Stripe, hailed as America’s greatest hero. It’s intriguing to anticipate her eventual confrontation with All For One.

At the end of the trailer, it was also confirmed that recap episodes will end on May 27, with regular programming starting June 3, 2024.

Who is making My Hero Academia Season 7?

Studio Bones returns to animate the seventh season. The forthcoming show will be helmed by general director Kenji Nagasaki and supported by director Naomi Nakayama. Nakayama has storyboarded multiple episodes for the series and replaces Masahiro Mukai, who has directed since Season 4.

The music is composed by Yosuke Kuroda while the characters are designed by Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima. Shigemi Ikeda and Yukiko Maruyama serve as and art directors.

How many episodes are there in My Hero Academia Season 7?

Studio Bones hasn’t revealed the official episode count for Season 7, but considering the previous seasons, we can expect the next season to feature 25 episodes. The previous five seasons of the show featured 25 episodes each, so, we expect the studio to continue this pattern. Nevertheless, we’ll hopefully get more information about the episode count as we get closer to the season’s release.
