January 2022 saw limited movies released on big screens amidst the rising cases of Omicron. However, the scenario will change this month. Some most awaited movies will finally make it to theatres in February 2022. The list includes big names like Valimai, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Khiladi and more. Here’s a look at Bollywood, Tamil and Telugu movies set to release in theatres in February 2022.

Veeramae Vaagai Soodum (Feb 4)

Tamil star Vishal starrer action-thriller ‘Veeramae Vaagai Soodum‘ will release in theatres on Feb 4, 2022. Earlier scheduled to release on Jan 19, 2022, the movie got postponed as the theatres weren’t running to full capacity. The movie also stars Dimple Hayathi, Raveena Ravi, Yogi Babu among others.

Valimai (Feb 24)

Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar’s most-awaited movie Valimai will debut in theatres on Feb 24, 2022. The high octane action thriller revolves around IPS Arjun (Ajith) who has been assigned a task to track down a group of outlaw bikers following their involvement in egregious crimes. The movie also stars Huma Qureshi, Kartikeya Gummakonda, Bani J and Yogi Babu. It will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

Khiladi (Feb 11)

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s action crime movie Khiladi will finally debut in cinemas on Feb 11, 2022. It Ravi Teja in a dual role alongside Arjun Sarja, Unni Mukundan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Dimple Hayathi. The actor will be seen in a completely different role in the film produced by Pen Studios in association with A Studios. Khiladi will also release in Hindi.

Bheemala Nayak (Feb 25)

Bheemla Nayak is one of the most awaited Telugu movies of 2022 and fans are restless to watch it on the big screen. Well, there is some good news for fans. Producer Naga Vamsi has confirmed that the movie will be released as scheduled on February 25 but only if the night lockdown is lifted.

Bheemla Nayak is a remake of the 2020 blockbuster Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Directed by  Saagar K. Chandra, it also stars  Nithya Menen, Samyuktha Menon, Brahmanandam and Murali Sharma.

FIR (Feb 11)

Tamil movie FIR starring Vishnu Vishal will release on Feb 11, 2022. It will release in Tamil and Telugu languages.

The movie focuses on Irfan Ahmed (Vishnu Vishal) who leads a happy life. However, his life turns upside down when he gets arrested after being suspected to be a terrorist. The onus is now on Irfan to prove his innocence. FIR will release in Tamil and Telugu.

Badhaai Do (Feb 11)

Now coming to Bollywood releases, the first on the list is Badhaai Do. It is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 super hit movie Badhaai Ho. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar as a couple in a lavender marriage, Badhaai Do releases on Feb 11, 2022. It also stars Seema Pahwa, Sheeba Chaddha and Nitesh Pandey.

Gangubai Kathiawadi (Feb 25)

Probably, the biggest theatrical release of February 2022. Earlier slated for release on Feb 18, Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi will now hit the big screens on Feb 25. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the movie is a biographical drama and portrays the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to welcome the ways of destiny and swing it in her favour.

The movie also stars Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema Pahwa in pivotal roles. Ajay Devgn has an extended cameo appearance.
