Pakistani Artists are being forced to leave India and consequently, MS Dhoni- The Untold Story is being boycotted in Pakistan!

The Uri Attacks have led to a major tension between India and Pakistan. Everyone is trying to take the anger out in some way or the other, like MNS did it by demanding all Pakistani artists to leave India within 48 hours. In a ripple effect, now MS Dhoni- The Untold Story is being boycotted in Pakistan.

The movie is scheduled to release tomorrow all over and we hear that the Pakistani distribution company, IMGC Global Entertainment, which was supposed to release the film has backed out of it. The chairman of the company was quoted saying, “Amid current tension between the two countries, we have decided not to release the film.”

Well, after MNS attacked Pakistani artists working in India and even demanded that their movies not be released in India, we had it coming. Pakistan is the third highest overseas market for Bollywood and the ban is definitely going to affect the box office collection of MS Dhoni biopic. The film has not been featured on the to-release list of any of the film theatres in the country. Making things worse, a petition has also been filed at the Lahore High Court seeking a ban on Indian films until the Kashmir issue is resolved.
