Wednesday Season 3: Everything We Know So Far!

Wednesday Season 3: The popular coming-of-age supernatural show might be renewed for a third season. Here’s everything you need to know!

Wednesday is a popular American coming-of-age supernatural comedic horror television series based on the Addams Family character Wednesday Addams. The series is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

The titular character, who tries to uncover a monstrous mystery at her school, is the show’s focus. Wednesday had its premiere on November 16, 2022, and was made available on Netflix on November 23, 2022, to mostly favorable reviews.

Within three weeks of release, it became the second-most watched English-language Netflix series. It received two Golden Globe nominations: Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy and Best Actress – Television Series Musical or Comedy for Ortega.

The show has already been renewed for a second season. And now, fans are getting eager and impatient to find out when the show will be renewed for a third season before the debut of the premiere of the second season.

Will there be Wednesday Season 3?

The big news for fans is that the creators have a big plan. The creators are hopeful that there will be at least three to four seasons.

Speaking to Variety about where the show can go, Wednesday showrunner Miles Millar said: “For us, it’s always looking at the future, and when we sit down to create a show, it’s looking at multiple seasons, ideally. That’s never expected, but that’s the anticipation that hopefully the show is successful.”

Miles explained: “So you always lay out at least three or four seasons’ worth of potential storylines for the characters. It can evolve and change. Often, you want to see which characters or cast pop and who you like to write for. So you want to keep it open and organic enough to change it and evolve.”

He ended the conversation by saying: “We certainly have a pretty clear runway of what we want to do in future seasons.”

Wednesday Season 3 Release Date

Following a delay due to the Hollywood strikes, Wednesday season 2 of the Addams Family spinoffs has finally been given a production start date. Filming for the upcoming installment is now scheduled to begin in late April 2024 and will take place in Ireland. Given that Wednesday is supposedly one of Netflix’s top shows, new episodes may air by the end of 2024. However, the most realistic premiere date for the second season is the first half of 2025.

Coming to the third season, fans need to be patient as we won’t get it soon. Addams family enthusiasts may have to wait for at least three years as we are expecting the third season to arrive on Netflix before 2027.

Wednesday Season 3 Plot

Fans have been waiting to see Wednesday pick up where the first season left off since loose ends were left hanging at the end of the first season. After returning home for a summer vacation in Wednesday’s first season finale, Wednesday started getting threatening texts. In the texts, Wednesday is shown talking to Tyler at the coffee shop and receiving a new phone from Xavier.

Wednesday concludes that she is now the target of a malicious stalker of her own. Thus, Wednesday’s season 1 finale suggests Joseph Crackstone’s plan to wipe out outcasts isn’t quite over as it introduces the title character to a mysterious rival in season 2.

Moreover, Tyler can still transform into a Hyde in the season 1 finale, suggesting that he will return to take revenge in Wednesday’s second season. Wednesday Addams and Xavier Thorpe’s possible romance was hinted at in the first season and might finally develop in Wednesday season 2.

Is there any trailer?

There isn’t a trailer or clip available for Wednesday Season 2 since production hasn’t begun as of yet. Therefore, fans will have to wait a little longer. Stay tuned for more details.
