War 2, the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe, now has a release date. Here’s what you need to know!
YRF’s spy universe is one of the best things that has happened to Bollywood in the recent past. With the blockbuster success of Pathaan and Tiger 3, YRF is now looking to expand it. Several movies have already been announced and the most awaited for them is War 2. Sequel to War (2019) and the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe, War 2 stars Hrithik Roshan who reprises his role as Kabir. South superstar Jn NTR is reportedly playing an antagonist in the film. Ayan Mukerji is directing the project and recently filmed an action sequence in Spain. Fans are super excited to watch the epic thriller and now adding to their delight, YRF has announced the release date for War 2.

More about YRF Spy Universe
Coined after the release of War (2019), the YRF spy universe began with the 2012 film Ek Tha Tiger. War 2 is the sixth film in the YRF Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. War 2 and Tiger Vs Pathaan are the two films lined up next in the franchise.
Apart from these confirmed releases, YRF is planning a spin-off focussing on Jim (John Abraham) from Pathaan. According to sources, discussions have been ongoing regarding Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone potentially joining the spy universe. Reports suggest that Alia has committed to a female-centric project within YRF.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, War released in 2019 starred Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Hrithik played the role of Major Kabir Dhaliwal, a RAW agent who has gone rogue.
War 2 is set to continue the storyline following the events of Tiger 3, laying the groundwork for what is anticipated to be the most significant film in the YRF Spy Universe, Tiger vs Pathaan.
