Vikram Vedha Box Office Collection Day 1: The opening day numbers of Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer are way below expectations.
Despite massive promotions, Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s mass action entertainer Vikram Vedha is off to an average opening at the domestic box office. While everyone was expecting the movie to take a decent start in the range of 15 to 17 Crore, the actual numbers are around 25% less.
As per early estimates, Vikram Vedha’s first-day box office collection is around Rs 12 Crore. This is a poor start considering the star value of the project and the budget on which it is mounted. Moreover, it is being released on 4000+ screens in India.

Vikram Vedha recorded around 20% occupancy on Friday, which is definitely not a great sign for it going ahead. Though we were expecting low numbers in metros and tier-1 cities, the movie also failed to make an impact in mass centres.
Almost all Hindi remakes of south Indian movies have tanked at the box office post-pandemic. Vikram Vedha is the biggest remake with a budget of more than Rs 150 Crore. The stakes are high on Vikram Vedha and it needs to gather big momentum on Saturday and Sunday in order to give itself some chance at the box office.
Not in the top 5 openers of 2022
Vikram Vedha is not in the top five opening day grosses of 2022. Its opening day numbers are even less than Bachchan Pandey (Rs 13.25 Crore) which ends its lifetime with a dismal Rs 49.7 Crore.

Vikram Vedha will be Hrithik Roshan’s fourth or fifth highest opener of all time depending on the final numbers. Currently, Super 30 (Rs 11.83 Crore) is at the fifth position in the list of Hrithik Roshan’s highest opening day grossers.
The total budget of Vikram Vedha is Rs 175 Crore. It will be a theatrical at Rs 175 Crore.
