Grant Gustin is finalizing a new contract to return as the title character in The Flash Season 9.

Get ready for yet another season of Arrowverse’ popular superhero show The Flash. We have learned that the lead star Grant Gustin whose contract is set to expire at the end of the current eighth season is finalizing a new contract to return for the next season.

As per the Deadline, Gustin was offered a multi-year offer but he has agreed for one year. Back in 2020, Gustin was in the middle of haggling a contract extension that would have brought him through Season 9.

According to the report, the new contract has a pretty decent raise for the actor. Gustin salary is believed to be around $200,000 per episode for the next season. It is also learnt that the new season will involve Gustin for 15 episodes.

With Season 9 on cards, The Flash is set to become the longest-running Arrowverse series on The CW, surpassing Arrow, which ended its run after eight seasons. As Gustin has signed just one year deal, season 9 could be The Flash’s last season.

There has been a lot of concerns among The Flash fans about the next season. There were reports that Season 8 would be the final chapter of the series. It’s good to know that The CW has extended the contract when the current season is underway. Experts believe that The CW will give a proper farewell to Gustin with the next season which would be the last chapter for the series.

The Flash Season 8 is currently airing on The CW. The recent season is on a long hiatus after airing the first five episodes covering the Armageddon event. The Flash Season 8 will resume with episode 6 on Mar 9, 2022.
