The Flash is a superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The Flash Movie Release Date
The Flash was initially planned for release on March 23, 2018, when Warner Bros. first announced its slate of DCEU films, before it was moved to March 16, 2018.
In July 2016, this release date was given to Tomb Raider, and The Flash was not given another release date until the hiring of Andy Muschietti in July 2019. The film was scheduled for release on July 1, 2022. It was then moved up to June 3, 2022.
A week earlier than the originally scheduled 23rd June 2023 release date, The Flash finally hit theatres on June 16, 2023. before its theatrical release, it premiered on June 12, 2023, at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. At the box office, The Flash is closing with Elemental and The Blackening.

Made on a budget of around $200 million, The Flash is projected to gross $68–85 million in its opening weekend, in the USA and Canada. It is also expected to gross $85–95 million internationally, for a global opening of $155–165 million.
The Flash Movie Plot
The movie focuses on the titular DC Comics superhero. It follows Barry Allen as he attempts to restart the universe after going back in time to avert the murder of his mother. The Flash’s actions have significant repercussions, just as they have for the time-travelling speedster throughout comic book history. In order to stop the multiverse from crumbling, Flash meets new versions of Batman and Superman in the film, which is based on the famous Flashpoint event from DC Comics.

The Flash movie reviews and ratings
The Flash received recognition for its action sequences, humour and performances, but was criticized for its CGI. On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 67% of 223 critics’ reviews are positive, with an average rating of 6.3/10. The website’s consensus reads: “The Flash is funny, fittingly fast-paced, and overall ranks as one of the best DC movies in recent years.
Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, assigned the film a score of 57 out of 100, based on 49 critics, indicating “mixed or average reviews”.
Where to watch The Flash?
The film will officially hit theatres worldwide on June 16, 2023. It will eventually release on HB Max but the digital premiere date isn’t out yet.
