Secret Invasion was announced as a Disney+ series loosely based on the 2008 Marvel Comics storyline of the same name. The show features a secret infiltration of Earth by Skrull impostors. The show stars popular Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) characters, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. It is the first series of Phase Five of the MCU.
We’ve seen Nick Fury discover a complex conspiracy including clandestine alien invaders, false flag assaults, and a plot to make Earth the new home of the Skrull race during the course of the series.
Now that the dust has settled and Season 1 has completed its six-episode run on Disney+, fans are eagerly anticipating more shocking twists, unexpected deaths, and sneak peeks at upcoming Marvel Studios productions.

Will there be a Secret Invasion Season 2?
The final episode of Secret Invasion, “Home,” premiered a few days ago on Disney+ on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Despite the poor reception, there is a certain set of fans asking for the second season of Secret Invasion.
Well, it is improbable that there will be a second season. The series serves as a direct lead-in to The Marvels and Armor Wars, significant feature films focusing on characters from Secret Invasion, namely Nick Fury and Rhodey. Moreover, Secret Invasion was always intended to be a limited series.
Historically, most of Marvel’s shows have been single-season series, designed mainly to provide origin stories or background information about different characters. The only MCU television shows that have received orders for second seasons thus far are Loki and the anthology series What If…?.
Furthermore, Secret Invasion has most certainly concluded the overall plot in its first season, ruling out the potential of a second season. As a result, the series will not be renewed for a second season since the story of the show is limited to the events of the book and cannot be developed into anything that does not directly follow the next project.
What happened in Secret Invasion Finale?
The climactic confrontation between Fury and the dissident Skrulls was portrayed in the Secret Invasion finale. As you can expect, Fury, won, but not without a price. To confront Gravik, G’iah disguised herself as Nick Fury. Both Skrulls underwent a procedure that made them both Super-Skrulls. They possessed all of the key Marvel superheroes’ abilities as Super-Skrulls, including Captain Marvel.
G’iah killed Gravik as he was unable to manage his abilities. President Ritson decided against striking Russia after Fury and Falsworth murdered the Skrull version of Rhodey. Ritson was persuaded by the encounter that all Skrulls posed a danger, though. The President said that all foreigners were enemies of the state in a bigoted declaration.
As a result of this message, vigilantes all around the world turned radical and started killing Skrulls whether they were guilty or not. At last, When Fury returned to S.A.B.E.R., he disclosed that his upcoming endeavour was a Skrull-Kree peace pact.
Since there won’t be a second season of Secret Invasion, you need to wait till the release of The Marvels on November 10, 2023, to see Nick Fury again on big screens.
