The movie is slated for release on 25 Jan next year and the makers have already started planning for the promotion of the movie. For a big movie, the promotion also needs to be big. Lyca productions, the makers of 2.0 have come up with a unique and interesting strategy for the promotion of the film.
As part of film’s promotions, hot air balloons embedded with images of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar will be float over strategic places in London, Dubai, San Francisco, Europe, Australia and India.
“We plan to take the 100-foot-tall hot-air balloon to as many balloon festivals as possible across the world. Since we see our film as a Hollywood production, we also plan to tie up the balloon over the Hollywood signage in Los Angeles,” Raju Mahalingam, creative head, Lyca Productions, told IANS.
“We also plan to take it to various Indian cities. Well-known stars will participate in this drive,” he said.
A couple of days we reported that the trailer of 2.0 will be released on Rajinikanth’s birthday i.e. 12 December.
2.0 is a sequel to 2010 blockbuster movie Robot. The movie will feature Rajinikanth in a double role while Akshay Kumar will play a lead antagonist in the movie. Amy Jackson will be the leading lady of the movie.
