Laxmmi Bomb digital release date: Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi Bomb will make its digital premiere on Disney+ Hotstar VIP on this date.

This is indeed good news for all Akshay Kumar fans out there. The much-awaited movie of 2020, Laxmmi Bomb has finally got a release date. The Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer will release digitally on November 9 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP. It is among the seven Bollywood movies releasing directly on Disney+ Hotstar.

Sharing the teaser of the movie on social media accounts, Akshay wrote, “Iss Diwali aapke gharon mein “laxmmi” ke saath ek dhamakedar “bomb” bhi aayega. Aa rahi hai #LaxmmiBomb 9th November ko, only on @DisneyPlusHSVIP! Get ready for a mad ride kyunki #YehDiwaliLaxmmiBombWaali #DisneyPlusHotstarMultiplex @advani_kiara @offl_Lawrence.”

Laxmmi Bomb was supposed to hit the big screens with Salman Khan’s Radhe in May during Eid. However, it got pushed due to the coronavirus pandemic. It opted for the direct digital release in July. Later, it was reported that it will premiere on September 9 but that didn’t happen.

As per reports, the release was postponed to avoid the hatred of fans fuming due to the nepotism debate. Other reports suggested that director Raghava Lawerence felt that some patchwork was required and that it why Laxmmi Bomb got delayed.

Some reports even claimed that the movie has opted out of OTT release. However, now that the release date has been revealed by Akshay himself, his fans can finally half a sigh of relief.

A remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana 

Laxmmi Bomb is a horror-comedy film, a Hindi remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana (2011). It is directed by Raghava Lawrence, who helmed the original as well. The movie also stars Kiara Advani, Tusshar Kapoor, and Sharad Kelkar. In Laxmmi Bomb, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of a man possessed by the spirit of a transgender woman.
