This year we will see a lot of new faces making their entry into Tinsel Town. Some are known names while some are totally new to this world of dreams. Check out the list of 10 most anticipated female debutants of 2016 to look forward to.
1. Mahira Khan
Mahira Khan is quite famous in Pakistan for her roles in TV show Humsafar. After making her debut with Bol, she is all set to make her debut in Bollywood opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Raees. She was ranked among the Top 10 Sexiest Asian Women of 2015 and also the Sexiest Pakistani Woman of 2015.
2. Saiyami Kher
Once a part of the prestigious Kingfisher calendar, Saiyami Kher will debut in Bollywood with Rakyesh Omprekash Mehra’s love story Mirziya. She is the granddaughter of actress Usha Kiron and the niece of Tanvi Azmi & Shabana Azmi. Saiyami has already acted in a Telugu film Rey and is gearing up for another Mani Ratnam movie.
3. Shriya Pilgaonkar
Shriya is the daughter of Television stars Sachin Pilgaonkar and Supriya Pilgaonkar and she will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Fan. She has already tried her hand in acting in her father’s Marathi film Ekulti Ek. In Fan, her role is small but quite substantial. She has even shot a French Film Un Plus of the Oscar-winning director Claude Lelouche.
4. Ritika Singh
You may have seen Ritika Singh in the trailer of Saala Khadoos, if not, do check out the trailer of the movie featuring R. Madhavan. She is a national-level kickboxer, is well-versed with mixed martial arts and karate. She never thought of acting in films but she does look promising in the trailer.
5. Sayyeshaa Saigal
Sayesha comes from a family of actors as she is the daughter of Sumeet Saigal and Shaheen Banu and the grandniece of Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar. Sayesha will be seen as the leading lady in Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay. She has also done a Telugu film Akhil: The Power of Jua.
6. Waluscha De Sousa
Apart from Shriya Pilgaonkar, former supermodel Waluscha De Sousa will also be making her debut in Shah Rukh Khan‘s film Fan. Evidently, Waluscha will be his lady love in the film. She was also seen with Shah Rukh in the advertisement for Hyundai and Pepsi. She is ex-wife of model Marc Robinson.
7. Pooja Hegde
Pooja Hegde was the second runner-up in Miss Universe India 2010 and was also crowned Miss India South Glamorous Hair 2010 in a subsidiary competition. She is quite popular in the Telugu and Tamil film industry and she is set to star opposite Hrithik Roshan in Mohenjo Daro.
8. Sanya Malhotra
Sanya Malhotra will play one of Aamir Khan‘s daughter in upcoming film Dangal. Though technically she has already played a role in a Bollywood film as Kamal Hassan and Tabu’s in Chachi 420 and also in SRK’s One 2 Ka 4. She was also seen as Suman in TV serial Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo.
9. Mawra Hocane
Another Pakistani Beauty Mawra Hocane is set to debut in Sanam Teri Kasam opposite Harshvardhan Rane. The movie is a remake of the 1982 hit starring Kamal Haasan and Reena Roy. She is a VJ-turned-star.
10. Fatima Sana Shaikh
Fatima Sana Shaikh will play the second daughter of Aamir Khan in Dangal. She is a Mumbai-based girl, and a dancer at a Mumbai-based dance academy called Danceworx.
