Saala Khadoos Movie Trailer Review: Majestic Madhavan engages you well

Saala Khadoos Trailer shows a strong persona of ‘Manu’. Madhavan comes out bold, rigid and ‘Khadoos’ well enough

I have a special liking for movies that try to not blend much in regular Bollywood masala and this is what Saala Khadoos looks from the trailer. The movie trailer was released yesterday and does not fail to impress. We are introduced with a strong persona of Madhavan and it looks much better after the ‘shy’ and ‘subtle’ characterisation of ‘Manu’ in Tanu weds Manu Returns.

The trailer shows a banished boxing coach, probably banished because of corruption and his struggle of living his dreams through a rogue player. The rest is more or less added flavours that stick well with the theme of the movie. We see Madhavan playing the boxing coach and he looks well sincere and no-bullshit personality as required by the characterisation. Ritika Singh, a fresh face plays the role of rogue player and looks good for a first timer.

The movie is directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad and will be a bilingual release with both Tamil and Hindi version hitting the screen in January. There is less scope of failure but as the director and lead character are inexperienced in Bollywood, it puts in quite some chances of failure.

Hoping Saala Khadoos does not disappoint us, we would like to know your views on this.
