  • The first season of ‘FBI: International’ premiered on September 21, 2021, and concluded on May 24, 2022.
  • In May 2022, CBS renewed the series for a second and third season.

FBI: International is a crime drama series that debuted on CBS last year. It is the second show in the FBI franchise after FBI and FBI: Most Wanted. The series follows the elite operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team. Headquartered in Budapest, they travel the world with the mission of tracking down the threats against American citizens. After the success of the first season, CBS renewed the series for a second and third season. So, we will be getting at least two more seasons from here. The fans are eagerly waiting for the next season. As the anticipation for what will happen is high, here’s everything we know about FBI: International season 2.

When is the FBI: International season 2 release date?

CBS has confirmed that the second season of FBI International will debut on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 9 p.m (ET/PT). The network released a promo in which they announced that both the sister shows, FBI and FBI: Most Wanted will also return for their next seasons on the same date.

FBI Season 5 will premiere at 8 p.m (ET/PT), followed by FBI: International Season 2 at 9 p.m (ET/PT), and conclude with FBI: Most Wanted Season 4 at 10 p.m (ET/PT).

FBI: International Season 2 Plot

According to the CBS website, the official synopsis reads, “From Emmy Award winner Dick Wolf and the team behind FBI and the “Law & Order” brand, faced-paced drama FBI: International is the third iteration of the successful FBI brand that follows the elite operatives of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s International Fly Team. Headquartered in Budapest, they travel the world with the mission of tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens wherever they may be, putting their lives on the line to protect the U.S. and its people.”

The Fly Team’s Special Agent Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank) puts his missions ahead of his personal life and is rarely seen without the team’s “secret weapon”, their trusty retired cadaver dog, Tank.

There haven’t been many details released about what viewers can expect in the upcoming new season of FBI: International. However, the focus of the second season will remain on the team’s efforts to save Americans or track down their killers abroad.

Looking at the season 1 finale, one can expect that Special Agent Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank) may be spending the next season trying to sort out his feelings about his mother.

In the finale, she advised him to forget about her as she is preparing for hiding after her undercover identity has been revealed. Well, it’s difficult to predict what will happen next with Forrester. So, our advice would be to wait for the premiere of the upcoming season.

Who is in the cast for FBI: International season 2?

To date, there haven’t been any major announcements made regarding the case for the second season except for Eva-Jane Willis. She will be playing Europol Agent Megan ‘Smitty’ Garretson. She has replaced Christiane Paul who played Katrin Jaeger in the first season.

We are assuming that the majority of the main cast members will be back for the second season. Here’s a look at the lead cast members:

  • Luke Kleintank as Scott Forrester, an FBI Supervisory Special Agent and head of the International Fly Team.
  • Heida Reed as Jamie Kellett, an FBI Special Agent who is the team’s second-in-command.
  • Carter Redwood as Andre Raines, an FBI Special Agent on the team.
  • Vinessa Vidotto as Cameron Vo, an FBI Special Agent.
  • Green as Tank, a black Giant Schnauzer trained in Schutzhund and retired cadaver dog that obeys Scott Forrester’s commands.

  • Zeeko Zaki as OA Zidan (FBI)
  • Alana de la Garza as Isobel Castile (FBI)
