Therefore, as fans eagerly await the arrival of Blue Bloods Season 14, let’s delve into what we can expect from this highly anticipated chapter. Here’s everything you need to know!

Will there be Blue Bloods Season 14?

On March 29, ’23, CBS formally ordered season 14 of Blue Bloods, before the premiere of the Season 13 finale. But, on July 21, 2023, CBS announced the renewed 14th season is currently delayed and on hold until further notice due to the ongoing 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.

When will Blue Bloods Season 14 premiere on CBS?

In August, CBS announced on their Instagram account that “Blue Bloods” won’t be part of their 2023 fall lineup. Instead, the network will be featuring “classic episodes” of the show for this season, implying that viewers can expect reruns of older episodes.

Now, that the WGA strike is over, we can expect the cameras to roll as soon as early next year. Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing Season 14 on our screens until at least spring 2024. Initially, the production was slated to commence in July 2023 with a planned fall premiere. However, due to the strikes by WGA and SAG, production had to be halted.

In addition, due to the renewal, the show surpasses NCIS: Los Angeles, which just finished its 14th season, to take the title of the longest-running current scripted series. Blue Bloods season 14’s premiere may not occur until 2024, and there won’t be any updates until later in the year.

What will be the plot of Blue Bloods Season 14?

Blue Bloods Season 14 will build upon the established foundation of the show, focusing on the Reagan family’s dedication to justice, loyalty, and their unwavering commitment to one another. As always, the series will tackle contemporary social issues and explore the complexities of the criminal justice system, offering viewers a nuanced perspective on law enforcement.

Frank Reagan will grapple with the pressures of leading the NYPD amidst a changing political landscape. Danny Reagan will tackle a new wave of cases, showcasing his relentless pursuit of justice while struggling with the emotional toll of his work.

Erin Reagan will navigate the intricacies of the legal system, often finding herself torn between her professional duties and personal convictions. Also, Jamie Reagan will face moral dilemmas as he rises through the ranks, balancing his desire for reform with the realities of police work.

Who is returning for season 14 of Blue Bloods?

When CBS announced Season 14, it was made clear that Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, Marisa Ramirez, Marisa Ramirez, and Vanessa Ray would be reprising their roles for the forthcoming season.

Sadly, Treat Williams won’t be returning for the new season, as the actor died on June 12 after sustaining injuries from a motorcycle accident.

There’s a possibility of the return of Jennifer Esposito’s character, Jackie Curatola, who made an unexpected comeback in Season 13. Esposito had left the show in 2012 due to her struggles with Celiac disease. While it hasn’t been officially confirmed if she will reappear in Season 14, it’s clear that her character has unresolved matters with Danny.

Is there any trailer?

Currently, there is no trailer as the production hasn’t started.

Where can you stream previous seasons of Blue Bloods?

While fans will have to wait for Season 14, CBS is re-airing classic episodes, starting on Friday, September 29, in the show’s usual 10/9c timeslot.

For those looking to revisit previous episodes of the series in preparation for the new season, there are multiple options available:

  • Cable subscribers can access the show on CBS.com by signing in with their provider credentials.
  • Subscribers of Paramount+ have the opportunity to view all 13 seasons.
  • Additionally, the first nine seasons can be streamed on Hulu.

Will there be more seasons of Blue Bloods?

Currently, Blue Bloods has only been renewed for one more season. However, shortly after the show was renewed, Wahlberg said that season 14 could be the last. The actor told PEOPLE, “I love Blue Bloods, and I think if there weren’t a season 14, the loyal fans of the show would be very, very outraged.” He continued, “If the show were to go away without [the audience] having a proper sendoff … I think they would be mortified. So I suspect [we’ll] have at least another season.”
