With Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, Gerua was expected to do some magic on screen but it failed badly
Much awaited and overhyped Gerua Video Song from the movie Dilwale was released yesterday. The high VFX filled Video song was however unable to ‘rang me gerua’ as it tries to spin through the unpleasing lyrics quite frequently. Flamboyantly waiting for a Kajol and SRK song sequence after seeing some very impactful Bollywood by the duo, I was left shattered and tried to go back in time to erase this unpleasant memory.
Well, I may have over criticized Gerua, being an SRK and Kajol fan, but yes, the song did indeed fall flat on lyrics, music and a lot of connecting factors. I was unable to feel the passion that Arijit Singh songs usually have, nor did the dance sequence made any impression.
The guitar course when SRK enters is very basic but pleasing however as soon as the lyrics open; the video seems uninteresting anymore.
