Akshay Kumar has shared the trailer of his upcoming Disney+ Hotstar movie Cuttputlli. It is an official Hindi remake of the hit Tamil mystery thriller Ratsasan.
After the debacle of Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar is geared up for his next release titled Cuttputlli. The movie is an official remake of the famous Tamil psychological crime-thriller ‘Ratsasan’ (2018). It was earlier titled Mission Cinderella.
Cuttputlli also stars Rakulpreet Singh, Chandrachur Singh, Sargun Mehta, and Suhani Sethi has opted for direct digital release. It will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on Sep 2, 2022.

As promised by the actor, the trailer of the movie is out now. The plot of the movie revolves around a serial killer who is on a murder spree. Akshay Kumar plays a police officer who is investigating the case. The trailer promises an intense thriller. It would be interesting to see if the remake matches the mysticism of the original.

Ratsasan is regarded as one of the best thriller movies in Indian cinema. Released in 2018, it was helmed by Ram Kumar and had Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in lead roles. It was remade in Telugu as Rakshasudu (2019) directed by Ramesh Varma with Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran playing the lead roles.
Cuttputlli is directed by Ranjit M Tiwari who earlier helmed Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom. The movie is produced by Pooja Entertainment.
