Confirmed: Salman Khan’s next film will be titled Tubelight, has a little political backdrop

Director Kabir Khan has confirmed that his and Salman Khan’s next film will be titled Tubelight.

The director-actor jodi of Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan are all set to reunite once more. Kabir Khan has himself confirmed the news by saying that Salman Khan’s next film will be titled Tubelight. He also confirmed that the movie will release in Eid 2017.

Here’s his full statement about the movie-

“It is about a personal issue. Can’t talk about what exactly right now. Needless to say my films always have a political backdrop to them because that’s what excites me and I find real. So Tube Light also has a little political backdrop.”

He was also asked whether this movie will be related to Bajrangi Bhaijaan in any way, to which he said “In terms of its emotional space it is similar to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But story is very different. It is more of humor and emotional space that we (Salman and I) haven’t delved into.”

Apparently, Salman Khan will undergo a journey of enlightenment from India to China in the movie. Kabir also said that Tubelight will have a ‘China element’ in the plot-line but they will be shooting the film in Ladakh. But we will have to wait for almost a year for this movie to come out.
