If the reports are to be believed, then Akshay Kumar has bagged another big Tamil remake after Thupakki. According to the sources close to IANS; Lyca Productions and A.R. Murugadoss has joined hand for the Hindi remake of 2014 Tamil blockbuster Kaththi. Debutant Jagan will direct the movie, and Akshay Kumar has been roped in to play a lead role in the film.
Directed and AR Murugadoss ,’Kaththi‘ starred Tamil superstar Vijay in a double role and was the highest grossing Tamil movie of 2014. Earlier, there were reports that A.R. Murugadoss was in talk with Salman Khan for the lead role but the things didn’t get finalized.
This will be the second time Akshay Kumar will star in the Hindi remake of Vijay’s film. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty‘ was the remake of Vijay’s ‘Thupakki‘. Interestingly, both movies were directed by A.R. Murugadoss.
