After giving one more Blockbuster this year with Kick, Dabangg Khan is currently shooting for the family drama filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya’s next Prem Ratan Dhan Payo co-starring Sonam Kapoor. Sooraj and Salman share a very close friendship and it was with Sooraj’s Maine Pyar Kiya that Salman got a smashing debut. The hit director-actor duo continued with Hum Aapke Hain Koun and were last seen working together 11 years back in Hum Saath Saath Hain which was also a super hit film.
Sooraj and Salman are back to add one more feather to their cap with Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The star cast of PRDP are currently shooting in ND studio, Karjat. As revealed by Sooraj and some close sources from the industry, some of the facts related to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo are as follows:
1. ) Salman will be playing a double role in the movie after 17 years (Last in Judwaa). One will be the King while the other will be a common man. Both will be twins who are miles apart and the roles will be in complete contrast.
2.) Sonam Kapoor will be playing a princess in the movie paired opposite the Khan. However, director Sooraj wanted to cast Dabangg’s Rajjo Sonakshi Sinha because of her Desi image. Due to some difference, Sonam replaced Sonakshi.
3.) SP Bala Subramanium, who has lent his voice to many of Salman’s early hit songs like Mere Rang Mein, Dil Deewana, Pehla Pehla Pyaar etc, will not voice for this film. Salman Khan feels Subramanium’s voice won’t suit him as he has got old now.
4.) The film is a multicast as all Sooraj’s earlier films have been. There will be a negative charachter in the movie which will be played by Neil Nitin Mukesh, Salman’s brother role will be played by Bigg Boss 7 contestant Armaan Kohli and will also feature Anupam Kher, Swara Bhaskar and Deepak Dobriyal.
5.) Himesh Reshammiyya will compose the songs of PRDP. The film will have 9 songs. Irshad Kamil will pen down the lyrics for the songs.
