Unlike the previous three seasons which had 10 episodes each, the fifth season of Yellowstone has 14 episodes. Season 5 will be released in two parts of seven episodes each. The first part premiered on Nov 13, 2022. According to Variety, the premiere drew 8.8 million viewers compared to 8 million viewers for last year’s premiere, or a 10% increase.

Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 4 Synopsis
Titled Horses in Heaven, Episode 4 is directed by Christina Voros and written by Taylor Sheridan.
Paramount Network’s official description of the fourth episode reads, “John makes swift changes at the Capitol; later, he receives some advice from Senator Perry; the venom between Jamie and Beth reaches a boiling point.”
A lot will happen in the next episode Beth has to figure out how she’s going to get herself out of a tough situation, which she caused thanks to the bar fight. After all, she could find herself behind bars!
Beth’s arrest could cause trouble for John, as he will be judged by his kids. With Beth arrested, Market Equities will probably exploit the situation.
The synopsis suggests that Jamie and Beth will come face to face as malice between them boils up. Jamie could cause a lot of trouble for Beth, taking advantage of her arrest. Sarah seems to be doing whatever she can to manipulate Jamie.

The preview of the fourth episode shows John and Lynelle (Wendy Moniz) sitting across from each other at a fancy table. She tells him, “Once you open that Pandora’s box, it does not close.”
We see Beth awaiting bail in jail and Jamie tells her, “You just sit here and hope she doesn’t file formal charges.”
Hailey, the woman Beth assaulted, walks through the door of the police station with a black eye and sits down to talk with Jamie. We hear Beth ask Jamie, “You are going to stop her.”
We see Thomas Rainwater telling John, “We do need to talk. A lot of very unhappy people…”
Jamie tells Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) of Market Equities, “You won’t win,” and she replies with a grimace, “We don’t have to win. We just have to assassinate your father’s reputation.”
The final scene of the preview had an officer telling Governor John Dutton, “They will come after you with both barrels, governor.”
