December 2021 will see some most awaited Bollywood biggies releasing on big screens. Apart from Ranveer Singh’s biopic drama 83, we will see Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey. Here’s a look at a list of the top 5 Hindi movies releasing in Dec 2021.
Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (Will release in theatres on Dec 10)
Featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in lead roles, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is a different love story. Manu (Ayushmann), a bodybuilder from Chandigarh falls in love with Maanvi (Vaani), a Zumba teacher. Love blossoms between them until a shocking revelation causes turmoil in their love story. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, this unique love story releases on Dec 10, 2021.
Pushpa (Will release in theatres on Dec 17)
One of the most anticipated movies of the Telugu cinema, Pushpa: The Rise Part 1 will also release in Hindi. Starring Allu Arjun in a titular role, this massy entertainer is based on the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh. The movie also stars Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj among others. It will hit the big screens on Dec 17, 2021.
Atrangi Re (Streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from Dec 24)
After the failure of Zero, Aanand L Rai is coming back with yet another different love story. This musical romantic drama stars Akshay Kumar, Dhanush and Sara Ali Khan. The music is composed by A R Rahman. Atrangi Re will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on Dec 24, 2021, in Hindi and Tamil.
83 (Will release in theatres on Dec 24)
After getting delayed multiple times due to the pandemic, 83 will finally release in theatres on Dec 24, 2021. Starring Ranveer Singh as cricket legend Kapil Dev, the movie showcases the Indian Cricket Team’s memorable victory in the 1983 World Cup. The trailer has impressed everyone and the expectations are definitely high.
Jersey (Will release in theatres on Dec 31)
After the success of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is once again coming with a remake of a hit Telugu movie. Jersey is a sports drama and an official remake of a 2019 Telugu movie of the same name starring Nani. Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original, Jersey also stars Mrunal Thakur, Pankaj Kapur and Ronit Kamra.
Besides these 5 big releases, Ahan Shetty and Tara Sutaria’s Tadap debuts in theatres on Dec 3, 2021. Abhishek Bachchan and Chitrangada Singh starrer Bob Biswas premieres on ZEE5 on Dec 3, 2021.
