Kabir Khan’s upcoming directorial ’83’ is touted to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year, which is based on the cricketing legend Kapil Dev who lifted the trophy of World Cup 1983 for India and also served as the team’s coach from October 1999 to August 2000.
The role of Kapil Dev is being portrayed by none other than Ranveer Singh in the movie. Recently, the first look of Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev was released and it was a big hit among the fans. The fans were taken aback by the uncanny resemblance of Ranveer Singh with Kapil Dev.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, the movie also stars Deepika Padukone, who will be playing his on-screen wife, and R Badree, Hardy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Ammy Virk, and Saahil Khattar as the Men in Blue.
