Moon Dong-eun seeks vengeance, and so does everyone else who has been hooked on Netflix’s delightfully addicting K-drama, The Glory. It is a Netflix Original South Korean revenge-drama series that premiered on Netflix on Dec 30, 2022. Part 2 consisting of eight episodes arrived on march 10, 2023.
In this drama about vengeance, Moon Dong Eun, a former victim of school violence, seeks revenge on her bullies after taking up a job as a homeroom teacher at the elementary school of the bully’s child.
Part one took its time delivering this vengeance, but part two finally brought us some of the retribution we’d been seeking against Yeon-jin and all the other bullies who made Dong-eun’s life a living nightmare.
Despite the fact that Part 2 finished on a brighter note, viewers are still wondering whether the show would be renewed for a third season. If so, what will it be about? Here’s everything you need to know!
Will there be The Glory Part 3 on Netflix?
The first season of The Glory was divided into two parts of eight episodes each. Part 1 and Part 2 comprise a single season of sixteen episodes and a single continuous story.
Both parts were a major hit for Netflix, leading to speculations about more episodes. Netflix hasn’t been kind to its recent hit shows. The streaming giant has been axing even its popular shows. So, fans are concerned.
The question is, is there a need for Part 3? Well, we don’t think so and it is very unlikely. The Glory Part 2 finished on a conclusive note. The finale (extra long episode 16) tied up all of the loose ends left sagging in the previous 15 episodes.
The show follows Moon Dong-eun (Song Hye-Kyo), a young woman who suffered horrible abuse in high school. Now as an adult, she stages her elaborate, brutal revenge on her bullies.
The Glory Part 3 Release Date
Netflix may try to capitalise on The Glory’s success with another season, spinoff or prequel. So, chances are there but with no confirmation, it is difficult to predict the release date. The K-Drana fans might have to wait a while before The Glory returns to Netflix. Let’s hope we get some details in a month or two.
The Glory Part 3? What to expect from the next set of episodes?
At a global GV event ahead of part two release, director Ahn Gil Ho told audiences that episode 16, part two’s finale, is “the most interesting” episode of them all (as reported by KBIZoom), promising fans a perfect ending for the show.
With all loose ends tied up in the finale, the makers need to create a new story or plot revolving around revenge. Can they make a spin-off sort of thing from any event which was part of the first season?
Now, this sounds conclusive, but given The Glory’s huge success, we suspect a spin-off or perhaps even another season in the future.

“I started to find acting fun again through The Glory,” Song Hye-kyo told Elle Korea ahead of part two (according to Allkpop, via NME).
“I was really happy in bed at the end of the day after I finished filming a really difficult scene. All I wanted to return to filming the next day and I couldn’t wait until I was Moon Dong-eun again.”
