Marvel’s new miniseries Ms. Marvel debuted on Disney Plus on Jun 8, 2022. The show serves as an introduction to a new Marvel character Ms. Marvel which we will see in the upcoming Marvel projects including The Marvels (2023). Ms. Marvel Episode 1 recap and what to expect from the second episode
The first episode serves as an introduction episode for Kamala Khan. She is a 16-year-old high school girl who is an extreme fan of the Avengers (especially Captain Marvel). We are also introduced to Kamala’s family, her father, mother, and brother.
Kamala plans to use a surprise gift of a golden bangle from her grandmother as part of her Captain Marvel cosplay. However, things go wrong when she discovers the bangle gives her the ability to shoot energy beams. In a mid-credits scene, Department of Damage Control (DODC) agents P. Cleary and Sadie Deever watch a video of Khan’s incident at AvengerCon and head to New Jersey to find and detain her.
In the second episode, we’ll see Kamala dealing with the aftermath of her newly-acquired powers, including potentially running into the United States Department of Damage Control.
From the first episode, it seems that Damage Control will act as Ms. Marvel’s major villain throughout the series. The agency will cause a whole host of trouble for Kamala.
