Loki Season 2: The most beloved anti-hero character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is back. Here’s everything you need to know!

Loki Laufeyson, “God of Mischief” based on the Norse deity, has solidified his status as one of the most beloved anti-heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Introduced as a villain in the 2011 movie Thor, where he played the adoptive son of Odin and the adopted brother of the superheroic God of Thunder, Loki’s character underwent a remarkable transformation.

Over the years, he became an endearing figure cherished by fans. In 2021, Loki finally received a dedicated series that delved into his mischievous escapades, set in the aftermath of the Battle of New York in the MCU. Debuted on June 9, 2021, the series takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019), in which an alternate version of Loki created a new timeline.

The first season of the Loki series garnered a massive following, with Tom Hiddleston reprising his role as the titular character. Its popularity justified the continuation of the series. The six-episode season concluded with a tantalizing cliffhanger, teasing the forthcoming season and introducing the concept of the Multiverse to Marvel enthusiasts, blending elements of fantasy, mythology, space, and time.

What will be the plot of Loki season 2?

Following the conclusion of the inaugural season, where the timeline fractures and the multiverse emerges, the second season unfolds with Loki forming an alliance with Mobius M. Mobius, Hunter B-15, and other TVA agents as they embark on a quest to reclaim the very essence of the TVA. Their mission involves traversing the multiverse in search of Sylvie, Ravonna Renslayer, and the enigmatic Miss Minutes.

The God of Mischief will have a difficult time assisting TVA in finding a solution in this parallel universe. Therefore, the second will reveal the destiny of the TVA employees, who were all taken from their timelines and made to forget their past lives. Furthermore, this season will include the entire Multiverse Saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A new “emotional” side of Loki is going to appear in Season 2 of Loki.

Owen Wilson revealed that Loki Season 2 will delve further into Mobius’ character, potentially unveiling details about his life prior to his involvement with the TVA. Wilson stated,

I thought I would have a good time but I really enjoyed it. I’ve been lucky working on a million movies and always having a good time but on that one, I had a really great time and that continued on Season Two. Maybe even moreso because we were filming in London and being there at Pinewood but yeah, [his story] just goes deeper.
