The official synopsis for Loki Season 2 reads:

“In the aftermath of Season 1, Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. What will happen in Loki Season 2 Episode 6? Major spoilers

In the Season 2 finale, it seems probable that Loki will take it upon himself to repair the Temporal Loom, opting not to send Victor Timely once more.

As Episode 5 ends, Loki is finally able to control his time-slipping power and transport himself back to the moment just before time (and his friends) unravelled around him.

Since Loki has time slipped back to the moment before the Temporal Loom exploded, it is highly likely that we will see the return of Victor Timely. During Episode 4, Victor Timely willingly steps up to take on the task of repairing the Loom but perishes after being exposed to raw temporal energy.

As Loki attempts to mend the Temporal Loom, the path is open for Victor Timely to potentially ascend as the next He Who Remains. However, there remains the possibility that another figure, perhaps even Loki himself, could assume the role of overseeing the Multiverse at the end of time.

According to some fans, Chaos is about to unfold as we approach the finale. As the story concludes, the entire future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may take a dramatically new and uncertain direction.

Everything is gonna come full circle. He’s gonna go from being the reason the Avengers assembled for the first time and the reason the new team now has to assemble across all the timelines to fight Kang.

We probably don’t have to tell you this, but the Loki finale will potentially set the stage for Kang to have an even larger future within this greater Marvel world.
