Ant-Man has never really had that much significance in the MCU—even though he saved the world in Avengers: Endgame. However, Quantumania is now anticipated to be a major beginning for Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania Release Date

Being the first Avenger to face off against the new Thanos-level villain, it seems that AntMan’s finally receiving what’s due to him.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, will release in theatres on Friday, February 17, 2023. The film will be the year’s first big box office affair. And it’ll be the largest movie to compete with Avatar: The Way of Water, which debuted in December and became an instant hit.

The film will also be released on an OTT platform, which will obviously be Disney+. However, Marvel Studios has not officially announced the Disney+ premiere date for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. However, based on the digital premieres of previous Marvel movies, we expect this movie to be available for streaming in May 2023.

It is the sequel to Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) and the 31st film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

In the movie, Lang and Van Dyne are transported to the Quantum Realm along with their family and face Kang the Conqueror (Majors). The family soon finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and characters that Janet previously encountered, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

Yes, there is. A more recognisable Ant-Man funny tone opens the first trailer, which was released in October. The second trailer, which was unveiled in January, was a grimmer affair that placed more of an emphasis on drama and adventure.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Budget

Ant-Man (2015) made $519 million at the box office on a $130 million budget while Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) made $622 million on a $162 million budget. Coming to Ant-Man 3, is made on a budget of around $200 million. It needs to earn around $500 million to break even which looks like an easy task considering the buzz and hype surrounding it.

Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania Box Office Projections

In January, the movie was projected to earn $120 million at U.S./Canada box office over the four-day Presidents Day holiday. However, Disney is hoping for at least $95M over three days and $105M-$110M over four at 4,300 theaters, as per Deadline.

The movie will kick off its overseas campaign on Wednesday and will look for around $160M weekend for a global start of $280M (that includes $35M-$55M from China).
