The recent revamp of Jio Cinema is truly a game-changer for the Indian OTT industry. Previously considered a passive platform, the company has now emerged as a challenging opponent to all the leading OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video etc. Not only Jio Cinema is offering free streaming of IPL, but they have also secured rights to highly sought-after content from HBO, Showtime, Paramount Plus, and Binge.
Apart from these two big developments, Jio Cinema also announced around 100 Indian Originals recently. These Original Indian shows and movies will premiere on the platform in the upcoming months.
For now, we will look at 8 Hindi movies and shows coming on Jio Cinema in June 2023. All the upcoming movies and series will be streaming for free on the platform. Sadly, we don’t have all the exact release dates for these releases.
Asur Season 2

A remake of the Tamil movie, Maanagaram, Mumbaikar stars Vikrant Massey and Vijay Sethupathi. Directed by Santosh Sivan, the movie marks Sethupathi’s Hindi film debut and is based on the life of people in Mumbai and showcases their happiness, drama, fun, and romance which interlink their lives.
UP 65

Embark on a nostalgic journey with “UP 65,” a series adapted from Nikhil Sachan’s novel, set against the backdrop of IIT Varanasi. The movie directed by Ali Abbas Zafar stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role. The action-packed thriller is an adaptation of the 2011 French movie Sleepless Night, which itself was remade in Tamil as Thoongaa Vanam starring Kamal Haasan. Bloody Daddy will premiere on Jio Cinema on June 9, 2023.

Sushant Singh plays the antagonist in the series which also stars Priya Bapat, Aakash Dahiya, Aksha Pardasany, and others.
Bigg Boss OTT

After Bigg Boss OTT season 1’s success, the makers are now gearing up for Bigg Boss OTT season 2. As per recent reports, Salman Khan will host the show. The second season of the show will feature big names like Munawar Faruqui, Zaid Darbar, Aditya Narayan, Pooja Gor, Anushka Sen, Sambhavna Seth, Anjali Arora, Jiya Shankar, and Poonam Pandey.
