Euphoria, one of the best American teen dramas, is the show for you. The show premiered on June 16, 2019, and has had two seasons so far. The second season premiered on Jan 9, 2022, and concluded on Feb 27, 2022. For fans of Euphoria, however, there is never enough since they want more seasons. At the end of its second season, Euphoria became the second-most-watched HBO series of all time (behind Game of Thrones), with episodes averaging 16.3 million viewers until it was surpassed by House of the Dragon.

Euphoria Season 3: Is it Happening?
The Euphoria Instagram account posted a short 13-second clip in early February 2022, weeks before the most recent season had even finished airing all eight episodes, with a caption hinting it had been given the go-ahead for more emotionally and physically violent episodes: “#EUPHORIA has been renewed for season 3.”
The renewal of Euphoria Season 3 in the middle of the current season demonstrated the show’s popularity.
When will Euphoria Season 3 be released?
While we know it’s coming, there’s no official release date for Euphoria season three yet. After HBO renewed Euphoria for a third season in February 2022, there have been minimal updates about the show’s return to the network.
In February 2023, series star Maude Apatow said that filming for Season 3 won’t start until the latter half of this year, suggesting that the third season will not premiere anytime soon.
Now, according to the latest reports by Variety, Euphoria Season 3 has been delayed to 2025 due to the ongoing writers’ strike by the Writers Guild of America (WGA). The latest updates suggest that the production has been delayed again and it could start sometime in 2024.
Earlier, it was predicted that Euphoria season 3 would premiere in early 2024, but that doesn’t seem to be true now.
Given that Euphoria Season 2 was filmed for seven months (April – November 2021) and premiered in January 2022, we expect the third season to debut in 2025.
What Will Euphoria Season 3 Be About?
We are still determining for sure what will happen in the third season of Euphoria as of now. But, we believe there will be a time shift. Euphoria costume designer Heidi Biven did tease that a five-year time jump could be incorporated into the show’s upcoming storyline. If the time jump does happen, then the three-year gap from the second season looks ideal for the show.
Rue embarks on an apology tour after suffering through a problematic detox in the hopes of apologising to her sponsor, Ali, and her friends Lexi Howard and Elliot. Jules Vaughn and Rue also had a brief, silent encounter in the audience that offered fans hope for their future romance. Rue’s narration, in which she mentions “keeping clean for the rest of the school year,” suggests that there will likely be a little time lapse between the conclusion of season 2 and the start of season 3.
