The series concluded spectacularly with Durst saying to himself in the bathroom that he “killed them all, of course,” not realizing that the microphone he was wearing was still hot. And ever since, fans have been dying to find out if there would be a second season.

Recently, the series received some exciting news that will make you happy, so if you are curious to know what it is and everything you need to know about the show, keep reading!

HBO announces The Jinx Part 2

Good news for fans!! The Jinx part 2 is officially happening. HBO announced on Thursday that “The Jinx – Part Two” is in the works with the same producers and director, and will hit the screens in 2024.

When will The Jinx Part 2 premiere on HBO?

The highly anticipated 2015 miniseries, which examined Robert Durst’s crimes, has a six-episode sequel now in production. The highly anticipated chapter of Durst’s life is scheduled to air in 2024.

Though the precise release date is still unknown, don’t worry—one step at a time. As soon as the producers disclose anything, we’ll let you know. So stay tuned.

The Jinx Part 2 Plot

As the sequel to the first part, The Jinx Part 2 will still offer a tonne of content. The hot mic moment that went viral, in which Robert Durst is heard saying, “Killed them all, of course,” impacted the outcome of the original series, The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst.

Durst was detained in New Orleans half an hour before the Jinx’s finale, and he was later officially charged in Los Angeles with first-degree murder relating to Berman’s death.

Over the course of the next eight years, the filmmakers carried out further investigations that will be revealed in season two. They discovered unreleased footage, Durst’s prison calls, and interviews with people who had never before come forward.

Robert Durst, the son of affluent New York real estate tycoon Seymour Durst, was found guilty of first-degree murder in the 2000 case involving journalist and screenwriter Susan Berman. Consequently, he was sentenced to life in prison.

Moreover, the Westchester County, New York District Attorney’s office has been considering the possibility of pressing charges against Durst in connection with the 1982 disappearance of his first wife, Kathleen McCormack Durst.

Durst died as a prisoner at San Joaquin General Hospital in January 2022 after contracting COVID in the fall of 2020.
