Anil Kapoor has collaborated with Lionsgate for the Hindi Remake of Red.
Anil Kapoor made the official announcement of the Hindi Remake of Red on Twitter. The remake will be directed by ‘Delhi Belly’ fame Abhinay Deo. This is going to be the first film jointly produced by Lionsgate and AKFC Network and Lionsgate’s second film in India after ‘Brothers’. Currently, AKFC Network and Lionsgate are finalizing the cast for the Red remake and the production is expected to start in August.

The original Red movie starred Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban and Mary-Louise Parker in lead roles. The story revolved around a former black-ops agent, portrayed by Willis, whose peaceful life is threatened by a high-tech assassin and reassembles his old team in a last ditch effort to survive and uncover his assailants.
