Here’s what Brad Schwartz, president of entertainment at The CW, said in a statement via The Hollywood Reporter.

Over the last five seasons, ‘All American’ has established itself as one of the all-time CW flagship franchises. ‘All American’ is not only the network’s youngest series, but also the strongest performer when combining all our platforms. Latest Update about All American Season 6

According to Deadline, The CW plans to kick off production for All American Season 6 in December 2023. After the conclusion of the actors’ and writers’ strike, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the production is commencing in the upcoming weeks allowing ample time for the sixth season to premiere in the first quarter of 2024.

When will All American Season 6 premiere?

Given that a number of The CW shows didn’t receive the same treatment, the fact that All American was renewed in January 2023 is truly a tribute to the show’s fan base. The new episodes, however, have not yet been given a release date.

All American has been part of The CW’s Fall schedule since its debut on the network. While The CW initially planned to debut the sixth season in the fall of 2023, the long-running writers’ and actor’s strikes pushed the season’s release to 2024.

Soon after the commencement of actors’ and writers’ strikes, the production started in December 2023. Now, the network has revealed the release date. The premiere episode of All American season 6 will be released on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 8/7c.

How many episodes will be there in All American Season 6?

Because of the strikes and the midseason premiere, season 6 might have slightly fewer episodes than the previous 20-episode fifth season. The CW has already revealed shorter seasons for other shows, such as Walker and Superman & Lois, so this adjustment could also apply to All American.

What will be the plot of All American Season 6?

The onerous journey for #Spelivia supporters finally reached a satisfying conclusion in the season 5 finale of All American. Spencer (Daniel Ezra) and Olivia (Samantha Logan) managed to end the fifth season on a sounder note romantically. As All American enters its sixth season, it unravels the unfolding chapters of its love story and the future prospects awaiting each member of The Vortex.

In Season 6, All American will continue to delve into the lives of its diverse and complex characters, further exploring their personal journeys, relationships, and challenges. The show has always excelled at portraying the realities faced by young athletes from different backgrounds and the obstacles they encounter both on and off the field. Fans can expect deeper character development and more intricate storylines that touch upon important social issues.

Season 5 saw Spencer making important decisions about his future, and Season 6 will explore the consequences of those choices. Viewers can anticipate Spencer facing new challenges. Both within his sport and in his personal life, as he strives to become the best version of himself.

Therefore, Season 6 promises to deliver another compelling and emotionally charged chapter in the lives of its characters. With a combination of intense sports action, complex relationships, and thought-provoking storylines, the show continues to captivate audiences worldwide. As fans eagerly await the release of the upcoming season, the anticipation for the next chapter in the All American saga is palpable.

Who is in the cast of American Season 6?

No significant casting-related announcements have been made to date. That being said, we anticipate that the main cast of the series to return except Taye Diggs who played Coach Baker (the character died saving a high school player’s life after a bus accident).

Similarly, Samantha Logan’s character, Olivia Baker, opted to spend a year in London, and Chelsea Tavares’ character, Patience Robinson, was attacked at the Baker’s doorstep in the season finale. The destinies of both characters remain uncertain as we look forward to season 6.

Recently, news came in about Kamar de los Reyes, known for his role as Coach Montes, passing away on Christmas Eve after fighting cancer. It’s uncertain whether his passing will impact his planned appearance in season six. All American  showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll honored Reyes in a statement to Deadline, saying he “brought so much love, light, and joy to the set every day, even during his final days.” She added, “He truly was a gift. One we will cherish forever.”

All American’s superb cast includes Daniel Ezra as the resilient Spencer James, and Samantha Logan as Olivia Baker. Michael Evans Behling as Jordan Baker, and Greta Onieogou as Layla Keating, have continually pleased fans.

Taye Diggs as Billy Baker, Bre-Z as Coop Cooper, and Cody Christian as Asher Adams also deliver noteworthy performances. Chelsea Tavares, Hunter Clowdus, and Kareem J. Grimes, among others, add to the ensemble’s chemistry and brilliance, making All American a joy to watch.

Where and how to watch All American Season 6?

All American is The CW Network’s exclusive show in the US. New episodes air on The CW channel weekly, on Mondays at 8 pm ET/PT. However, if you are a cord-cutter, you can still watch new episodes live as they air with live streaming TV services such as FuboTV, Hulu Live with TV, and YouTube TV. Additionally, new episodes become available to stream on-demand on The CW app the day after they premiere on The CW.

For those who love binge-watching, All American is also available on Netflix in the United States. Outside the US and Canada, All American isn’t available on Netflix.

Will there be All American Season 7?

Well, at this time, there is no update on whether there will be more of All American after Season 6. All American season 5 premiered in October 2022 and wrapped its 20-episode season in May 2023. In January 2023, it was renewed for the sixth season. All American was one of the few CW shows renewed along with its spin-off.

With so many CW shows getting canceled, it looks like All American might be in a risky spot when it comes to the possibility of getting renewed for a seventh season. Moreover, the show has passed its peak and the characters have grown up, shifting the focus of the plot.

So, even if the show concludes after the sixth season, it will be a decent farewell to the sports drama which has been entertaining the viewers for a long time.
