Bollywood’s most popular and credible awards, Filmfare Awards 2017 was held at the NSCI, SVP Dome Stadium in Worli. Filmfare has been in news this year for the poor nominations. Akshay Kumar, Randeep Hooda, Manoj Bajpayee fans have literally boycotted it as their stars were not nominated. However, the Filmfare seems to have compensated it by awarding the best of the year.  Filmfare Best Actor Award 2017: Aamir Khan won it 3rd time.Aamir Khan has won the best actor award for his terrific performance as Mahavir Singh Phogat in Dangal. He has beaten the biggies like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor. Have a look at the nominations for Filmfare best actor award 2017.

Last year, we witnessed some terrific performance by the top Bollywood actors. Shah Rukh Khan was unmatchable as Gaurav Chandra in FAN, Salman Khan was at his best as Sultan, Ranbir Kapoor made a strong comeback with ADHM, Shahid Kapoor delivered once in a lifetime performance as Tommy Singh in Udta Punjab, Amitabh Bachchan was legendary in Pink, Sushant Singh Rajput proved his mettle in MS Dhoni biopic.

The competition was tough and in this close fight, Aamir Khan emerged as a true winner. We think, he truly deserves this. Shahid Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee won the best actor critics for their movies Udta Punjab and Aligarh.

This is Aamir Khan’s third Filmfare after Raja Hindustani (1997) and Lagaan (2002). He refused to accept the award for Lagaan in 2002 and doesn’t attend any Indian award ceremony. He wasn’t even present yesterday when he declared the best actor for Dangal. It remains to be seen if he acknowledges this time around.
