Madhurima Tuli to play Akshay Kumar’s wife in Baby : Television actress Madhurima Tuli has been roped in to play Akshay Kumar’s wife in upcoming thriller Baby.

Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie Baby‘s first poster released recently. Akshay will be seen playing the role of an undercover agent. However, there is striking resemblance to his last released-super hit Holiday co-starring Sonakshi Sinha, where he played a soldier. Only after the trailer is released, audience will be able to tell how different Baby will be.

Director Neeraj Pandey of ‘A Wednesday’ fame, will direct Baby. He has finalized the cast as Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu of Chashme Baddoor fame who will also play the role of an agent and Airtel ad girl Madhurima Tuli who will play Akshay’s wife and mother of his children. Madhurima was noticed in Airtel ads and now she is seen in the Zee Tv serial Kumkum Bhagya. Neeraj Pandey had initially auditioned her for a different film. However, after auditioning her he felt Madhurima is fit for the role of Akshay’s wife in Baby. Even though, many actresses were considered for the role, director Neeraj wanted a fresh face and he couldn’t find anyone better than Madhurima.

The film’s shooting has already began and places like Istanbul, Nepal, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and India will be captured. The film poster reveals that the release date of Baby is 23.1.2015. However, reports are abuzz that Khiladi Akshay’s another action flick Gabbar co-starring Shruti Hassan is also slated to release on the same date. A source reveals, Gabbar‘s makers had first announced January 23 as their release date. But now it turns out that Baby’s makers are looking at same date. With Akshay headlining the cast in both projects, it will be really difficult for him to promote these films. It makes sense for him to shift the release of one of his films or else they will eat into each other’s business.”
