And now, the seven-time Emmy Award-nominated series, which follows wildly talented high school female soccer players, is back for its second season. The second season premiered on March 26, 2023. Fans are already eagerly anticipating the third season, which has already been confirmed.

First thing first… What is Yellowjackets about?
Yellowjackets is one of a kind series with elements of thrill, horror and mystery.
It’s set in a dual timeline. In 1996, a girls’ soccer team’s plane crashes whilst they were flying over Canada. They are left stranded and must survive in the wilderness for the next 19 months. 25 years later, they have to struggle with supernatural events and face their past.
Yellowjackets Season 3: Renewal Updates
Ahead of the premiere of the second season in March 2023, season three of Yellowjackets was confirmed in December 2022.
Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime and Paramount Media Networks, said the team was super excited to get another season locked in ahead of the release of season three.
He said: “With ‘Yellowjackets’ runaway success in season 1 and the pent-up anticipation for season 2, we wanted to maximise the momentum by fast tracking season 3 now. The show’s ambition is only exceeded by its execution, and I thank the incredible creative team behind it, including Ashley, Bart, Jonathan, eOne and the Showtime team, for turning this into such a success.”
Is there a release date for Yellowjackets Season 3?
The second season of Yellowjackets premiered on March 26, 2023, captivating viewers with growing anticipation for each episode. And now, season three is in the news. The exact release window for Yellowjackets season 3 hasn’t yet been revealed.
Season two was announced in December 2021, and premiered in March 2023. Considering that season three follows a similar pattern, we could get it in March 2024.
Who will star in Yellowjackets Season 3?
With Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell playing the parts of the ladies in the present, Yellowjackets has an absolutely great cast.
And portraying the parts of the girls in the 1996 timeline were Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sammi Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Liv Hewson, and Courtney Eaton.
However, we won’t know for sure which cast members will return for season 3 until the end of the second season, i.e. on May 21, 2023. However, we’d want to see as many of them as possible.
